Best to get your property surveyed at the beginning and be firm with keeping people off of it.

- well it all depends on the nature of the LLC that you have a membership in. 

I do a survey for this same situation about once a month.

We've been working on bylaws, registered as a non-profit, set up a bank account, drafted application forms, discussed membership fees, and a whole bunch of other stuff.

I was told that it was not covered because I should have gotten a land survey during my due diligence period and that the policy covers only the land it describes.

Thank you all for your feedback.I did put the house into a contract, but after a survey inspection, some issues arose with the location of the house.
