I know i had loans on a few :(   My Brother in law bought a home  in Las Altos Hill in 90 that had sold in 87 peak for 2.5 mil and he picked it up for 1.3 still lives there today probably worth 6 to 8 mil today.. so real estate does bounce back in some markets but this was a sub market in prime Silicon Valley SF peninsula..
