You're doing the right thing by utilizing the site, its resources and the forum to learn more.I'd recommend looking into what other local organizations there are out there with members of the site or other real estate investors who you can connect with but don't have to shovel out thousands of dollars to learn the ropes.

He will also be kind of a manager of sorts, so he would make sure the driveway is shoveled and help mediate if the other tenant has issues, which he already said he was okay with.

The issues mainly came in the winter when the lower unit tenants were out of town - the upper unit tenants were very upset when the sidewalks weren't shoveled after a huge storm.

Of course, the island is also smaller, easier to care for and uses less water.It would not be horrible to undo, kill it off and then shovel it out back down to dirt.
