A good road map to follow is continue getting your employer match for the 401k, next would be to max your HSA.

Honestly, try to draw a road map of your life for the next 5-10 years.

Also, the usually roadmap used, is the same one they might use if buying stocks/bonds/etc...  

Falling short on my property roadmap that I started in 2013, but not overly disappointed, I started the rental business with nothing and have 25 units in a little over 2 years.
