Hello @Timothy Hilario,I think there are benefits to both strategies.If you move out of your apartment and rent it as a mid-term rental, you could see decent cashflow without pulling equity out of the unit.

It's one of the hottest markets in the US right now with so much population growth, job growth, and companies moving/developing here (26B Intel headquarters being built here, 68K+ enrollment in Ohio State University, Amazon, FB, Google, Honda, Nationwide, Anduril, etc.).

This method typically provides an accurate, data-driven view before deciding to move forward with a property.

Little steps everyday moves the needle in a big way.

.• In 2010, I moved out and decided to put in in service as a rental unit.• I was able to keep it well occupied and leased throughout 2024.• I sold the condo unit in late 2024 for a nominal profit.That brings us to today. 

One of my commercial RE agent friends  here moved out there. 

Then, if you can trend over time you'll want to see where the "path of progress" is going/moving and attempt to buy in that path of progress to gain some appreciation in the future.
