While I am very knowledgeable about home construction and she is very knowledgeable about real estate sales, neither of us are knowledgeable about the investing side.

Just what I see its very market specfic out this way.. used houses sell for as much if not more per sq ft than new builds.. for starter housing most of that has gone the townhouse route.. cheaper than free standing. and the big production builders can build those pretty efficiently.. mom and pops not so much..

The reason is the rent-to-price ratio is good so you can cash flow, and most of the West side doesn’t have a Point of sale inspection which is really annoying.
