It gave this as a reason, "The housing market’s rebound has been restrained by the so-called shadow inventory of homes with mortgages at least 90 days delinquent, in foreclosure or already owned by banks, while foreclosures had been stalled since late 2010, when state attorneys general and federal regulators began investigating abuses by banks, including lost or doctored paperwork.

He didn't bother looking at any of my documents (purchase & sale agreement, mortgage, leases with my current tenants, etc.) that would have demonstrated a legitimate need to run credit checks, which surprised me.It was a rather silly exercise - though I have a locking file cabinet (which the investigator photographed), that's not where I store my rental property info.

I think if his site covered negotiaions a bit more, which could be in the book for all I know, then I'd definitely investigate it.
