For most people, owning their own home and house hacking is typically the best way to get started building some equity, enjoying tax benefits, understanding real estate, and reducing their monthly housing expenses, but it really does vary by person and what they are trying to do.

If they do complete them, it's probably very basic, not taking what your contractor is now advising you into consideration.

Working with contractors can be extremely difficult as projects get delayed and there is poor communication(red flags were not present before project began).

Best to start the process to sell.If you decide to keep it, you should talk with the contractors - you don't need to do high-end renovations for a rental.
