It took me a while to shift out of the “hurry up and payoff debt” mentality.

The only reason I am planning a shift my family from San Diego is to venture into the multifamily business.

My current FT job operates with 3 shifts, 24/7/365. 

Those who DCA - dollar cost average (and most do into their 401k mutual funds) won't get clobbered as they have been averaging in and over time this will smooth out all the volatility.Most people nearing retirement should be gradually shifting out of equities into something more of a fixed income flavor.Listen, I prefer RE over the stock market, however I have constructed over many years a fantastic stock portfolio of great companies that throws off income (dividends and distributions that grow annually) on a monthly, and quarterly basis that I will utilize to supplement my passive income in retirement...Days like yesterday (and today) are more like buy days, as if you look around you can find great value in these sell off days.

We did a complete renovation, literally flipping the house (shifting living room to bedroom side of the house and vice-versa. 

However, because of the shadiness of the birth mom I am highly concerned that responsibility for paying the back income tax would somehow be shifted to us as well as the new owners.

As such I am shifting my strategy to buy in the more affordable housing space focusing on the Broad River/ Bush River area and Friarsgate in Irmo (for the schools). 

Is it a couple joists have shifted or rot in the plate they are resting on?

I noticed there are multiple doors that do not close properly without jamming including the front door which hopefully is not due to foundation shifting, our contractor said its more than likely just a build up of moisture filling up inside and all the wood expanding and warping.

My son has helped me tremendously with this shift.
