anyone have experience in the Putnam, central Village, and Killingly area?

There's plenty of work for licensed trade guys right now and they don't want the village to come after them.

My stream is filled with 60+ year old couples in tidy small houses near retirement areas such as The Villages. 

But when you get to electrical, plumbing, hvac, roofing, etc, you don't even get a choice - not that I have any of those skills anyway.Although I have had one village take it too far.

The numbers are entirely fictional and different for houses, but I think the concept is similar - and much different than what an investor is looking to do.I think if there is a profitable business in this space, it would be a general contracting niche generally marketing to owner-occupied with equity(or extra cash) with these houses. 

Indian Village, Sherwood Forest, Green Acres, and University District to name a few.If you are losing sleep, cut your losses and move onto the next deal, preferably one closer to you.

I catch some flack from people because I read a lot of business books and what are considered by most to be 'self-help' books (like I think many of us do) - but if this type of book, and the others on the list, are the state of literature these days, I think I'll just stick to my business books, and the occasional fiction or three.

The book "Evicted" is one of the most talked-about non-fiction books of the year.  

I can't touch them, but I know of a few houses that have been on the market for at least 6 months in Greenwood Village near Belleview and Dayton...but they go for $1.5m+.
