I picked up 3 bed frames (1 full, 1 queen, and 1 twin), 3 mattresses, nightstands, dining table & 4 chairs, mirror, pyrex dishes, secretary cabinet, and a few other knick knacks for $235.What really ate into my budget was things like comforters, bed sheets, lamps, coffee maker, pillows, rugs, etc. — I went to IKEA & Target for those and that came to about $800.

Feels like a case study. 1) After refi, interest up to the original amount(140k) is treated the same way as it has always been. 50% A and 50% E2) The new additional debt (110k) after the refi is deductible at E if the entire amount if the new home is used for rental or Sch A if you treat the new home as a second home, interest training rule.3) New 290k loan is Schedule A deductions if used as second home or Schedule E deduction if used as Rental.

@Susan O.If you are eligible for a Solo 401k plan you can open one up at E*Trade but keep in mind that your investment options will be limited to those allowed by E*Trade, they confine them to the stock market only (bonds, stocks, mutual funds).
