It stays pretty active and it's a decent group to network, learn, and contribute... just don't do the wholesaler thing and ask for everyone's emails for your buyers list... it'll get you banned :)

(It was our main strategy)In 2019 the City of Kelowna passed one of the toughest bylaws against STR ranging from banning from most areas of the city up to creating a 750.00 annual business license requirement.We are currently able to perform short term rentals in only one of our properties as it is zoned accordingly.

My lesson learned was to ensure the company has standard corporate bylaws, and have a honest non-partner be on the board of directors to help guide the company.... and honest practices.The two partners were Banned from attend any future mastermind events with the group.

Thanks everyone for the responses.Regarding Airbnb, it is not formally against our bylaws yet, but the HOA did recently vote to ban it. 

I'm not sure why but one friend said the city banned STR and his cash cow became just a decent long term rental.

I know it was banned in the 90s on the state level, but I keep reading about attempts to reinstate it on a city or municipality level.

Otherwise, you and I could agree a contract where I sell you a banned substance and we could tell the police and judge that it was fine because we agreed.
