I love it when people Generalize - Since I've been investing in Buffalo for close to 10 years, there's no "One" side is worse than the other.

I am based in northern NJ, but primarily looking at areas in upstate and western NY (specifically, Buffalo, Ithaca, Albany and Rochester).  

Peter, i currently live in seattle and have about 500K equity in the house i currently live in(minus taxes realtor fees and moving expenses etc). a bit of history...I have 2 duplexes in buffalo one in lehigh and one in england.

Here in Buffalo, NY, an easy example I like to use is $500/mo rent per unit in a 2-family home, purchased for $50,000.  

IMO the vacation rental business is Disney specifically is recession and weather proof......people from all over the world come to the Disney area every year, in fact probably 50% of my renters are foreigners...so its not dependent on the US economy........ and its far enough inland that hurricanes and such really aren't a concern.........I do all of my own bookings/property management from Buffalo!!  

I would love to talk to and meet more experienced flippers/investors in the Buffalo/WNY region. 

I live in Buffalo, NY and I have tried appealing to homeowners right here however these people are very closed minded to even try anything new or different in fact if you are not a realtor calling to list their home, they automatically think you're a scammer.
