Welcome to BP - lots of people have definitely had success in the SC market for short term rentals - Myrtle Beach is showing up on a lot of hot STR market lists too this year

I just purchased my most recent property last month by selling one of my inland single family homes for a duplex closer to the beach. 

We have a STR beach house and he looked into the bonus depreciation scheme. 

I live on the beach (originally from, LI ) in Fl and do all my biz in Cleveland.

At the moment, I believe your best bet are some cities in Broward and Palm Beach.

I grew up in the Niceville area, but am interested in finding a small beach-proximate property to buy/hold.

My rentals are all in Virginia Beach/Chesapeake.

I have been looking in Santa Fe NM area, as well as Gaitlenberg NC, Myrtle Beach, or Savannah Georgia.
