Hi,We've uprooted ourselves from down under Australia and plonked ourselves smack in the unlikeliest of places, Japan, at a 360 degree cultural turnaround.We arrived two months ago and have survived in a country that speaks extremely limited English and has rigid societal and cultural norms.

I might add that Germany’s answer to hyperinflation was to introduce a new currency secured by real estate.Even the Chinese, who have seen quite a bit of social unrest in the last 15 years, have primarily contained this behavior to protests and demonstrations.

The one thing that I will say having managed properties in other countries (China and Russia) is that you need to have a firm grip on the culture and the culture surrounding rental properties, land ownership, law enforcement, court systems, etc. 

Yes, there are a couple of bad parts, but there are also GREAT Areas, MUCH more house for the money, multis are available, your renters have bus routes,  and there's phenomenal culture.  

There's a lot of no name Chinese imports that have hit the market recently in our area.
