Here a quick tip for when you are interviewing companies ask them this question "what are you steps to address a broken hot water tank"If they answer, send a plumber out and address the problem, you know they'll charge you an arm and legIf they say, they'll walk the tenant through trouble shooting steps like resetting the pilot light, you know they'll save you money 

Make sure the well pump is operating well, that the water supply is sufficient for the renters, and that you understand how it operates so you can trouble-shoot problems like a well pump that trips a breaker.

When the tenant calls for a maintenance request, it's always best practice to have a list of trouble-shooting steps.

Without knowing the apartment and its wiring hard to trouble shoot.

In the future I may try to fully hire out, troubleshooting a snow blower or mower that won't start may be my least favorite part of being a landlord lol. 

Do you have any troubleshooting or tuning tips to diagnose and address why some of the registers are having weak to no air flow?

If you're hiring a cold caller directly then you can get them for cheaper, but you have to deal with training them, managing them, and troubleshooting issues with your dialer when those issues come up.
