Few examples from the top of my head:Faucets -- I've seen people try to skimp on replacing a whole faucet by replacing a washer, which usually doesn't work, prolongs the problem and just creates more costs until they do replace the whole unit.Tile floors -- People try to do it without using a backer board, which eventually causes the tiles to pop. 

I have the costs of renting a separate room and having good food and better transport to work which is are a bit higher than those who skimp on these.

Purchased for $19,150 and put just shy of $3k in repairs, however I skimped on repairing some rot around an exterior glass sliding door.

If you're spending the time and money renovating a home, don't skimp out on things that don't cost that much compared to the rest of the rehab.

The $800 no frills one just looks like you’re skimping out.

It makes sense that there would be turnover costs every time a tenant leaves and that as an investor, you shouldn't skimp on those costs, otherwise you risk not being able to attract high-quality tenants. 

However, this is an area you do not want to skimp.

Obviously, this is not something you want to skimp on but it shouldn't cost an arm and a leg so just be weary. 

Do not skimp on water coverages or Personal Liability, renters are sue happy!
