Many years ago, Home Depot and Lowes used to have professionals from each trade in those departments, most were retired etc, I find that less and less nowadays and find myself helping customers out when I hear an employee giving really bad advice, so just take advice in the big box stores with a grain of salt

I do have a handful of clients that have ended up using multiple CPAs just due to who their partners were on different deals, and even in those cases they almost always end up consolidating to a single CPA - taxes are enough of a headache without dealing with 3 different professionals who each only have a slice of the whole picture.If you are going to regularly be investing across the country, it doesn't hurt to work with a firm that has State and Local Tax (often referred to as "SALT") internal resources, though typically this does come from larger firms with larger fees.

Also, the leads come from up to 10 different states, and my only area of expertise is Atlanta and Memphis, so I found it difficult to convert many of the leads.Take this with a grain of salt though, as the service may work for you even though it hasn't worked all that well for me!

Actually, I was at the unfortunately named "Best Ever Conference" in Salt Lake 2 weeks ago that Joe Fairless (Ashcroft) helped start and all the talk from some very highly placed economists and analysts was that the regulated lenders and banks were the focus.
