What would this be called and how would I structure a deal to propose to him.

Redeveloping into mixed use live/work/play projects has been the most common proposed solution the past few years in my area. 

This was proposed before the current spate of horrendous fires n Los Angeles.  

Why are they proposing that if they want the property?

There is really no data on this so most of the numbers are just proposed.

I've seen many responses from contractors, saying they've got to buy materials, pay their workers, etc and if they don't know you, you should expect to pay a deposit.I can see both sides of the problem.Contractors, if I foot the bill for the materials, your risk is lessened.How can I propose a fair solution to my contractors?

Then and only then will congress kill this idiotic legislation.

.: With the laws that the CA legislation has passed, you could piss off a city inspector and there is nothing they can do about a safe unpermitted unit.Possibly/probably....but I think the point we are all making is - why take chances on losing time and money and stressing yourself out?

In an "investment club" all members propose and discuss investments and vote on what investments the club will pursue.
