I've gone through enough real estate education to know that just about everybody recommends pinpointing certain areas -- zip codes or sometimes even neighborhoods -- in which you see a lot of cash-buyer activity and targeting those areas to find houses.

I'm planning on doing macroeconomic research on out of state areas with similar to larger populations until I pinpoint a couple of good markets where the cost to build new units far exceeds the cost to buy existing units so that I can focus on investing on these type of properties there.
