It might be that this couple that owns the house is just getting their feet wet with having someone else managing the property and they want to get comfortable with your management style as being what they want.

I think I was having a hard time seeing the value of turnkey properties because of my personality style with regards to investing and wanting to trade up quickly.

Both units are approximately 400 sqft, "yurt-style" cabins with large decks.

Location. 25 minutes to beach, 40 minutes to Florence, 15 minutes to Pisa, 60 miles to snow skiing.  10 minutes to Home Depot style store, etc.  

What is not helpful is the assumption that some responders made that the root cause is the PM's communication style was not to my "liking".

I think the biggest mistake that people make, is thinking that investing in STR´s is some totally different style of real estate. 

We still end up doing a few things like upgrading appliances or installing recessed LED lighting and dimmer switches and other life-style upgrades to attract top-notch tenants.
