I stand upon this 1 item that I have 0% risk or fear of any collapse that will end us all like the dinosaurs of old because if following BASIC standard practices, all one has to do is NOT SELL and wait, maybe a few years.

With the rise of DeFi, banks are obsolete dinosaurs for thinking that people would be content to earn 0.01% interest on their deposits.Personally I make more money with crypto than I do with real estate, but the only reason I feel confident investing in crypto as heavily as I do is because I have other stable investments like my real estate that allows me to take much riskier bets on volatile assets like crypto.

Back when I was first introduced to RE transactions, when dinosaurs roamed the earth, there was a clause in the code on installment sales along the lines of; on an installment sale, if you received more 30% or so of the sales price in one year, it triggered the taxes due on the entire gain, even though not received yet.

And of course this was pre internet  So I guess we are talking Dinosaur days.What makes crowdfunding unique of course is the internet and the mass media and the investors making investments basically with a click of the mouse.. we had to do it the old fashion way we had to pick up the phone.. :)

@Dion DePaoli  in the day and I know I am a dinosaur but we sold notes with an endorsement on the back that simply said with recourse.. which means if it went bad the buyer of note could recourse against us.. which would include paying it off in cash  replacement or if we could not pay they would sue us..
