As far as risk, about a year and half ago, Oahu passed Bill 89, which was made to crack down on all the illegal rentals in residential areas.

Cities like Reading P.A have many houses 35-80k but they have 2 years of city inspection and they love to crack down on landlords.

Local government just got involved by taxing Short terms and are starting to crack down on "Ag Shacks" (student rentals in neighborhoods).

We'll see if it makes a difference though, the way the city council is talking, they want to crack down.

Biggest curiosity regarding all of this is how they intend to crack down on illegal operators.
