For paint let them buy the paint from one of the good suppliers since painting pros get discounts and you want good paint and all the same color. 

We get a discount on materials that you wont get until you are spending $50K a month with the supplier .

See if you can get a list of trades/suppliers seller used, for your records and contact them. 

I've used home depot/lowes in the past but was looking at using a supplier like Prosource to get my materials.

Kiwi II is another possible supplier.

Talk to a supplier and ask about an all in one.

This is and I say this with extreme emphasis NOT the time to be learning, the market is wayyyy to unpredictable, I mean the material market, weather my suppliers can't commit to a price for more then a few days or the item is 3 weeks out.
