Sometimes the best medicine is new surroundings and a fresh start:).I totally understand the emotional attachment to the house since it's the home you were raised in.  

I served 5 years in the Navy working in military medicine prior to moving to Pittsburgh.

Food, medicine, lights, gas, water, rent.  

But I digress.I think spending 13+ years specializing in medicine is a big risk, its "going out on a limb", and causes plenty of fear and uncertainty, just as someone jumping into real estate or a start up.

And abrasive as it may be to you...that's just common sense to most.I'm in emergency medicine...after paying for your health insurance....how would you like your doctor to get halfway through a procedure only to say....uh sorry that'll be another $xxxxx to show you how we finish this heart transplant...or is that his right too?

Very smart of you to be learning alternative ways to secure your financial future, as medicine is certainly changing.  

Prob the only place besides D class areas where you can see 2% rule.Btw, I'm born and raised in Sacramento, but came out here for a lucrative career in medicine.
