Note everyone else commenting is an architect by trade and no offense to them but architects tend to overvalue their work in my opinion. 20 years ago I had to pay for real architects and the price was justified but now with new tech and programs its a saturated industry and prices vary widely  within a single market.I'm not here to tell you to fire your architect but it doesn't seem like you got several, if multiple bids at all.

I’m partial to Intuity by lagrand because it is hardwired to the home and does t require a truck roll every time there is an issue, they simply call tech support to set up and activate their system.

I say semi-retired because you'll probably not really retire at that point, but if you do it right, you'll have the freedom to run your business from anywhere in the world and work as little or as much as you want.If your tech job offers 401K with matching, take advantage of that and max it out every year.
