Having been stationed at Schofield Barracks in HI for 4 years, there's a reason those properties are all trashed.Like anywhere, run the numbers and see if it makes sense for you to invest there.

It's block by block over there, some are okay, particularly right by the police station or as you move toward the north, but some blocks are pretty shady, I wouldn't go south of 106th.
