Typical politician double speak. 

If the politicians ever decide to solve potential problems instead of throwing mud at each other, the growth outlook will be much stronger.That said, I see the outlook as relatively strong right now.

A sales tax would lessen the control the government has over it's citizens of which politicians on both sides would ultimately not be in favor of

@Aaron Klatt..the moment it comes through in November with the pace politicians in CA run to please their voters who , let's face it majority are tenants, the rent control will:  a/ expend to non-rent control areas like Inglewood, Hawthorne and other b/ will expend to Single family houses and condos (not rent control today thanks Costa-Hawkins) 3/ the cancelation of Costa Hawkins would mean (that will take probably few months for tenant-voters to convince the politicians)  that even after the tenant moves out you the landlord can not raise the rent to market price..meaning if the tenant pays 1000 and today the market rent for this property is 2000 you can do nothing but continue to rent 1000+3% which is not enough to cover your yearly maintenance cost as a landlord.. and so your property value would be proportional for this rent and you can never get the value increase as you should...this is the dark picture but very real..

So much common sense a politicians head would explode if they read it.

The politicians offer a delay of property owner payments through forbearance, but the tenants rent payments are essentially canceled. 

California politics is controlled by the extreme left while the general population may have nothing to do with it but the one that makes California rich is the engineers, not the politician, but engineers --like Elon Musk said-- hates politics.

I honestly think rent would be lower in SF without rent control, but hey, no politician wants to believe that....

Professor plumber policemen Painter physician prostitute etc  etc  Definitely add Politician to that list, especially with the death of Epstein today. 

I am not an investment expert, nor am I an advisor, but my decisions at this moment are planted more firmly in the expectation that the politicians will not become fiscally conservative without some sort of catastrophic monetary event forcing their hand.
