As others have stated, it's tough to lose the various benefits (health insurance, 401k employer match, etc), not to mention the income itself. 

Of course as well to benefit from the tax benefits of the sale as this would be my primary residence.

If the amount paid to purchase an existing note is below the principal balance or more correctly, the unpaid balance, the investor will benefit from an early payoff to the tune of the discount.  

The dollar-peso exchange rate benefited us with respect to fees, so we have some extra class A shares we can use as collateral. 

How can I benefit myself AND my community by offering rentals?

The amount of cash-flowing deals in your market is extremely low, so when you get one you should hold on to it as long as you can so you can reap the benefits of that LA appreciation especially if the property is in a good location. 

With that being said, I’m starting to see more of the benefits in some of what he promoted.  

It offers tax benefits, such as mortgage interest deductions and depreciation, reducing taxable income.

I choose to just for the tax benefits.

I am in the low 800s and don't know of any tangible benefits to be at 800+.
