My dad and I spent the majority of a day pulling these massive vines(some the size of a baseball bat at the base of the tree) down from the 60-80' pine trees behind the house, turns out they were poison ivy!

I read up on it a bit and it seems like light structural lumber milled from softwood trees (spruce, fir and pine) might be a fine choice.

Hey Imran,I own a two-family property in Albany in the Pine Hills neighborhood.

Sure enough there were several layers of tile, 2 layers of cedar & then we had to re-sheet the entire roof as the old 2inch thick pine slats were 2 inches apart.

We own rentals both short and long in Huntsville, AL and in Great Smoky Mtns, TN but we really really want to have camp ground sites with miniature ponies and chickens beside our creek on our farm in East TN.

For example: I wanted the roof cleared of pine needles and a large broken limb in a tree removed.
