But then again, I’m not experienced in it, so I do need expert advise on what garage size and door size with height to pick.

I've seen experienced investors  do flips in the Bay Area.

I love section 8 but I don't know if I would want a full portfolio of those rentals too having experienced that and sweating it out for a bit. 

Cutting corners to save time might seem like a good idea, but it can lead to expensive repairs later on. Have you ever faced repair issues because a project was rushed? What did you learn from that experience?

I appreciate any feedback from investors/landlords who have actually experienced this about how they handled it.
