I would never dream of paying off any home I own.

We had moved to a suburb of Richmond from Texas for a "dream job." offered by a friend who had a start up business.

This applies to things as small as a 3-unit mixed-use building with a store-front or a 5-unit residential.That said, I wouldn't dream of syndicating anything under about $3M dollars because the overhead is just too high to absorb.

Since in the past 10 years, you see those type of storms / flooding more and more.I would also worry about the insurance price or having to need a flood insurance or even not begin able to insure the property at all.Bottom line, costal living is still a dream for lots of people and if you are willing to take on the risk, then go for it.
