Also, I currently don't have funds saved besides $10k which I was going to use to buy the first house and then start using my residual income from there to put it where it would make the most money... which I'm curious where you would put it?

Things like the county you live in, your disability, residual income, lender-specific DTI caps, and other variables will affect your ability to pursue the path that best fits your goals. 

Christopher,In order to calculate your DTI properly you would need a few more factors since a VA loan also uses a "Residual Income"calculation which adds in Child care, Utlities, social security and income taxes. 

You are probably thinking you are a heck of catch because of all that residual income they will be getting because you are a big bad investor.
