I would agree firmly with Mark Bookhagen above, its just like when you audition for movie roles.

Many movies and TV shows portray landlords and business executives as the villain because that's what audiences expect.

All she knows about landlording are stereotypes from movies and late night ads, other than what she may have picked up interacting with you and your family.
