Being that it's not really known as a tourist destination (but features some of the highest elevations east of the Mississippi River), prices are still very affordable offering very good ROI.

I have gotten very good at my "It would not be fair to rent  to anyone with income below $X.XXX"  speech.  

After a long drawn out speech from someone who travels Fla to NY just to do the weekly meeting, was told I needed to pay $2k, $8k or $20k (option: finance, charge or even borrow from 401k to pay for it).
