Overall, the inspection shows the place is in pretty good shape with mostly cosmetic fixes.The inspector did notice that the microwave installed over the stove/range vents not up into what looks like a vent system above the microwave, but out into the room just above the microwave door.

The procedure is they have the contractor fill out 2 forms, they send an inspector to make sure the work is done (to some standard, I would guess), approve it, send me the money, and I send it to my contractor.

In my experience the inspectors were fairly "petty" when it came time for the Section 8 annual inspection / rental increases.
