The criminal check really wasn't vital but I wanted to make certain he didn't have any fraud charges or anything like that (I was simply being cautious).

It took me about 6 years to get "... a fountain built in the city of seattle..." because the guy, unfortunately, didn't die with $14 million dollars.Signed qcds not recorded are useless afaik, usually a sign of attempted exploitation, or people selling deeds to property they dont own, (an oldie but a goodie in the fraud world) or medicaid planning that was never completed.

interesting I will take a stab at it.most would tell you to do the first option.but if you will sleep better do the second one.. and most likely they will just tell you keep making your payments as agreed. as long as you did not fib on your application in other words your employment changed without you knowing in advance.. if you knew in advance you were not going to be employed and they asked you that and you fibbed then that is mortgage fraud.. and the choice 3 would put the file to bed . although depending on who did the mortgage for you they wont like it they have to pay their rebates back and such with that early of payoff.

I have walked through the property and fixed visible things with risk, but I would love to know any attorney I should contact in case I need to fight through a lawsuit when there is a fraud.
