I wonder if there is a legal leg to stand on to force the HOA to proceed.The complex is made up of several different buildings, some with 3/2, some with 2/2 condos, and some with 2/2 townhouse, so the structural damage is unfortunately pertinent to our unit of 8 dwellings (4 front, 4 back).

Meredith,Most regular Policies for an owner occupied or rented dwelling will want to insure the building for Replacement cost. 

I don't know how to go about changing to 3 addresses, how to address utilities, heating and any other requirements (e.g. 2 doors per dwelling or 1?).

There are two Home Possible programs, the Home Possible Advantage with 3% down but this program only allows for 1 unit dwellings. 

He may have made a good living for himself, but he sucks at giving legal advice.The lease does offer some protections for the tenant, but they're basically the same protections you would offer as a decent, honest human being.

Unless you are talking about an owner-occupied dwelling with 4 units or less, you cannot discriminate against a tenant with an ESA and you must allow that animal. 

They started allowing accessory dwelling units for owner occupants and have been trying to open up more areas for MF.
