BP is a good place to brainstorm, but you should always have the deep conversation with your professional.Although it is cheaper to refi outside an LLC with a non-commercial mortgage, you'll want to talk to your professional about the impact this will have on LLC members who aren't on the mortgage, as they might not get debt-basis if only one member is on the loan.

That way, if they *all* have to be re-originated, at least only half are with my less-fav lender, and half are still with the lender I like, rather than 100% of them being with the one I'm not a huge fan of.Good luck!

It does cash flow better then a SFH, you are correct.In my case:- it had to be re-zoned as MF with the city- an additional post office address had to setup (1A, 2B)- natural gas line was split and 2nd meter was added- 2nd electrical meter was added outside- 2nd electrical circuit breaker panel was added in the basement next to the other panel, and all the wiring for upstairs unit was moved into it- city does not allow for a split up of incoming water to add 2nd meter so both units have to share it.

It also does not take into account that it is often cheaper to buy than to rent (if it was not there would not be RE investor renting units out).
