If we had used a lender, we would have lost money.  

If 2022 or later the values have dropped due to higher cap and interest rates so if you have gotten any appreciation at least you haven’t lost money. 

As part of the project, the only existing drain on my side of the street is being sealed over with concrete and even that will be lost.

If the security deposit is not enough to cover lost rent, utilities, and damage, you are welcome to sue in small claims court (which most of us have never done).

Ended up hating it and lost my butt getting rid of that thing.
