I fully understand the "asset protection", "piercing corporate veil", and "commingling funds" part and that I won't have the protections offered by the LLC.

Companies normally offer limits up to$500,000 but some offer $1,000,000.

There are a lot of options out there.

If they do need financing, then speak with your lender about their new build financing options. 

We’ve found a great option for us in Tennessee with a cabin (currently used as a str) and a mobile home.

So maybe that RE decline that's coming for those markets is already built-in here.Orlando does offer other major long-term advantages like long term demand (will Broken Bow still be a place people travel to in 10 years?

Yes, House Hacking seems like the most ideal option when considering my first investment (open to other forms of ownership, such as live-in flips as well).
