This is what anyone can see hiding behind many of the arguments of the posts in this thread: "I'm really looking for an excuse to put a lot of money into a ostentatious house in an expensive neighborhood as a symbol of my success and live there while I try to convince myself every day that I'm doing the right things to build wealth because my property is appreciating all the time."

People with 3% loan will hang on best they can and not move.The Fed is not reducing rates in the next couple months, but then an airplane can be crashed into a symbolic building or another pandemic comes along, or something else wild and bad.

Investing in Cleveland is not for the faint of heart, and if a local didn't outbid you then you either hit the jackpot or it's probably not worth a cent.

And again, I think it's more status symbol or some form of ego-stoke, everyone I've asked on #'s of savings etc., not a 1 has any idea, but they have all kinds of answers about how it looks, how cool, modern etc. it all is.
