I have always thought that a "mentor" was not someone who was paid.If they are paid they are a teacher, coach, instructor or perhaps partner but not a mentor.

The training events are sometimes entry level classes with local DIG experts as instructors, and sometimes the classes are from national speakers.

I am in Cincinnati attending the Hondros Real Estate Licensing class.Earlier this week, one of the instructors, a broker in Cincinnati, stated that on all of his agency's listings at $100,000 or less, he has the seller sign an addendum absolving him of the obligation to present all offers under a certain dollar amount.

They present their proposal - rather poorly, in my estimation - which is actually a kind of "franchise" since the offer is the use of their name and products in the course of your REI business within their specified guidelines.I know of only one such offering which *IS* true education, in so far as that's possible without the instructors actually holding DoE teaching credentials.
