You could have pipes in the wall that freeze, so avoid this by keeping it at room temperature.Keep the fridge on.

Inspection is the key on this.One time, we found a kitchen pipe that wasn't connected to anything, cost my friends 3K.As long as you get a good inspection, you should be fine.

In hindsight I would of replaced everything with plex piping, but 15 copper patches later we have no leaks...but that sewer line everyone told me I should of fixed right away, it backed up and flooded the basement and ruined the water heater.

I have seen contractors who couldn't read blueprints and put windows too low, pipes where they shouldn't be and didn't finish the job anyway.
