Any long distance investing will have it's pros and cons.

I'm currently exploring Ohio and realizing I may not be cut out for long distance RE investment.

I bought my first property in 2014 in California and kept it as a long distance rental when I moved back to Columbus OH.

In my opinion things get more complicated if you try to invest from a distance when you are first starting out.

Like I do for my practice, she works with clients remotely, so distance is not an issue.

I can't find any other homes that are cheap enough and within a reasonable commute time of my job and am beginning to think I will have to rent for a few years, not the worst thing in the world but not ideal either as I realize the value of real estate investment.
