Here in NJ, the lease term doesn't matter- under the NJ anti-eviction law we must renew accept for certain reasons (non-payment, crime, etc.)

It would be a conflict of interest for the attorney.Apparently, we have lots of “anti-attorney”bP posters here....For some background, NJ isn’t a lawyer required state, but in northern NJ we generally use attorneys.

This is just another example of pro-tenant, anti-landlord law/regulation.

I would add Buying in a City or State with anti-Landlord Laws & Sentiment to the list as well. 

The political climate should make most people nervous and the city council is extremely anti-landlord. 

They might end up in a Congressional anti-trust hearing the way they are going!
