When creating a land trust to hold a piece of property for anonymity reasons (or to transfer a property out of your personal name and into an LLC, which is the beneficiary of the trust), a common practice seems to be to name the land trust after the property address, ex. "123 Main Trust".

I have no idea who buys it from me because the stock exchange anonymizes the parties to the transaction (only the exchange and the SEC might know because they monitor stock transactions in their ongoing search for market manipulation and insider trading).

They primarily function as a way to compartmentalize your liability, but when structured correctly can remove your name from public records to provide anonymity and would include an operating company to separate the higher risk activities (repairs, rent collection, property management, etc.) from your assets.

If I purchase the property through a land trust that’s owned by an entity (probably an IL LLC owned by a WY LLC for anonymity, of which I’m the sole member), would the property tax and interest deductions flow 100% through to my personal tax return?
