@Trevor Walsh I would respectfully dissent from the folks here...the first 3-4 years spent managing my own properties seemed to go really well until a tenant I had in a SFR for 3-years did not pay rent for over 2 months...the property was on cruise and I lost sight...to compound this, most investors will tell you they are making X% ROI on their rentals (or whatever metric), but can't quantify it...this is where a PM can set you straight...I can guarantee the claimed performance of investors properties and actual performance are 2 very different things.The truth of the matter is an excellent property manager will run the property much better than you and be able to increase rents to build in that 8% PM rate...they will also permit you to focus on growth, not managing property...If you want to grow, get your properties handed off to a top notch PM asap.If you are buying in C-class locations, you will not be able to recruit a top-notch PM...you'll be client number 2,001....and if you are spending all your time managing your property manager, you should have just managed it yourself the whole time.In agreement with the folks above, self-managing is priceless for education.Best of luck

You can also ask them which company they are with and who their recruiter is, then consider contacting the recruiter directly and picking their brain.

THAN we have our infrastructure, the physical offices, computers, software, electricity, heating, rent, cleaning, cost of hiring staff as recruitment is not free, than compliance staff who do not actively run files but keep our leases up to date TO PROTECT YOU, communicate with the dozens of local regulations, vendor management, vendor recruitment, accounting staff, on and on and on and on. 

@Karrie StricklandFinding the broker is pretty easy, most of them are trying to recruit agents.I called around to some of the brokers and asked to see if it would be good to meet to see if we gel.Instead of thinking they are interviewing you, it is good to be prepared to have questions lined up for them. 

I've got some recruitement ideas but if anyone is a staffing expert I need to learn how to ramp up our recruiting efforts so we can better reorganize and upgrade our team. 

This poses a problem for soap manufacturers trying to recruit top talent from outside the region.  

The event gives you a little nibble and is designed to recruit you for the expensive program.

This may include, but is not limited to private-public developments, corporations and government entities moving to the city, employers recruiting from outside the metropolitan area, etc.

I'm at the point where my business is growing and I need to recruit agents so that I can better serve my clients.
