If your kid got a degree in engineering, made good grades, got internships, got a scholarship here and there, went to the community college for basics and for summer classes etc., than I can't see that ending in anything but a success story.

Be smart during college (low or no debt, study things that will help you in life rather than cause it seems fun, and work hard so you'll get good grades and a killer job when you get out. 2.)

Check with post housing and see if there are any COLA adjustments, I don't think you're in a high cost of living area and check on availability of housing for upper grades. :)

You may also need to install remedial beams across the piers to support the floor slab that was designed to be supported on grade but will now be suspended in the air as the soil settles under self weight but the building does not.
