Again, regarding the support bars, get that letter from the contractor who did the work and if you need an architect or home inspector, get them involved.  

I've also had people charge me to get there architect's contact info.

CPA/Lawyers are Contractors but you need to be or outsource someone to be your Architect.

If you haven't already, I highly suggest you get an architect to do a zoning code analysis for you and to find out what all you can do on your parcel.
